Rotating

With the grid open, is it possible to rotate an object at anything other than 45°?

  hi,
  
  when grid is open you can only rotate 45 at a time, but try using the precise move guide instead for finer rotation, you can then always retarget the grid onto that newly rotated object using L1 + triangle.
  
  And then get stuff to align to this new grid space by pressing triangle as you are holding an object.
