When will a trigger zone detect a tag inside a puppet?
Does the whole puppet need to be inside the trigger zone? only the center of the puppet? or is it "located" somewhere else on the puppet?
I'm having trouble getting the trigger zone to activate when on the edge of the zone. (the trigger zone is a round cyllinder). The whole puppet is, as far as I can tell, completly inside the trigger zone, but it won't activate.

Hi.
The triggerzone detects the location of the tag itself.
Make sure you've named both the tag and triggerzone the same too.

But what is the location of the tag - if for example it’s inside a microchip inside the puppet logic which is on the floor in front of the puppet? Is there a way to define the location like you can with emitters and other gadgets

Hi,
By default if in a microchip it's where that microchip is.
If you want to move that tweak the tag and there is a widget you can grab to set it's position while leaving the tag in the microchip

Thanks KlawUK and John! It makes sense now - since I had the tag inside the microchip in the puppet, which is a tadd in front of the puppet, the trigger zone didn't line up with the puppet itself.
I moved the tag to the center of the puppet, however I couldn't find a widget to keep the tag still in the microchip. -
Select the tag. There should be a white blob showing somewhere near it. You can drag that white blob around the scene. This goes for a lot of things that seem to be attached to their gadgets, such as cameras, lights, trigger zones, etc.
