How do I create 3D text

I want to add 3D text almost like floating wordart in the level. Giant blocks of letters etc without having to sculpt it. Is this possible?

Hi

Sculpting is the only way to do this properly.

You could have multiple cloned 'in world' text gadgets to create a kind of 3d look though
