Make painted flowers move as a whole
My daughter has painted some tulips and wants to make them move when you walk though a field of them. What’s the best way to do that?
I tried a force applier on Connie but the strokes go crazy and don’t move together as a whole. She’s now experimenting attaching to spheres with gyros and force appliers and it’s getting overly complex.
Help!

One way is this:
- Create a sculpt as a base, set it invisible and non-collidable.
- Create another sculpt as a mover, set it as invisible and collidable and movable. Also make sure it's pretty light, and has gravity turned off (maybe?).
- Connect the mover to the base with a joint, and fiddle with the settings.
- Group the flower to the mover sculpt.
- Edit the mover to make sure it's a little larger than the flower.
Now, when the character walks into the mover it will be pushed away. And as the flower is grouped with the mover, it will move in the same way. (The base is just required to have something to attach the joint to.)
And quick tip: turn off "preview invisibility" so you can see the invisible objects, while working on them. -
(I'm actually getting excited about trying this out, now. XD)
