Textured Sculpture Paint
Is there a way to paint over a sculpture with a different texture/polish than what you're painting on?

Yep! I was actually just doing some of this about an hour ago. When you go into paint mode you can select one of a few different preset finishes for your strokes, and you can even use the painting’s tweak menu (in assembly mode) to fine tune the sliders to get the exact look you want.

You can also use the spraypaint tool whie you're scoped into the shape. It gives you a nice base coat since the spraypaint can give you better details

Also, use snap to surface, I think it's called(?) to paint directly onto the surface of an object.
