Cost of bricks Whats the best strategy?
So I tried making one or two brick types in order to build a castle thinking the reuse wouldn't cost anything. That does not seem to be the case. making them loose does not lower my thermo. Keep in mind the floors and walls are all 4 brick thick.
AM i doing something wrong? If i want to make a massive castle should i make my walls hollow?
Any sugestions?
Thank you,
Larry

There are two thermos that are relevant here, the purple gameplay thermo and the yellow graphics thermo.
Purple increases everytime you put one more object in the world. There is a maximum amount of individual objects before this is at 100%. I managed to get ~9000 spheres into one scene.
Yellow is what you think of in regards to infinite reuse of the same object. That one increases if your the object is more complex than a brick or if you stamp objects that are different from each other. You could try sculpting the entire castle as one object, but that won't work most likely either.
The strategy here is to make your 'bricks' larger but style in a way that they look like they are made from smaller ones. That way both yellow and purple are used but neither reaches 100%.
And yes, dont put individual bricks inside your wall where they tax your thermo but are not visible to anyone. -
Thank you for taking the time! I will take another shot at it.

Two things. There is a tool to make your sculpts lower detail. I think its in the guides menu, or gameplay menu. That will help. Secondly; we cannot see the inside of your wall, so those bricks don't need to be there. That will probably save half your bricks :)w
