How do I create custom walk and jump animations properly?
I've tried keyframing it but it causes the body parts on the puppet to get all jumbled up and stuck. It's really quite difficult. I am disabling the procedural animations. Is there a proper way to do this (it's mentioned in the menus)?

Not easily answered in a thread like this, could do with a full tutorial!
Key frames and timelines will be your main tools here - if you want to create full walk cycles yourself, then you;d have to place the various keyframes on a timeline, set it to loop, then control it's power with the speed of the character, I would see what mileage you can get from the various walk tweaks first tbh!
As for changing the jump poses, in the puppet (non basic one) there are some jump keyframes already set up, you can edit them (press L1+X on them as shortcut) and repose.

Is there a way to insert the adv. Puppet logic into the basic puppet?

But please give us a way to turn off the Quick Edit animations when trying to plug in and test things with the puppet menu.

But for some reason if I edit my Jump pose and Run then Jump it'll just play the Walking Animation while in the Air
