How do I essentially just make Grow Up/Home?

I currently have a puppet that has key frames for raised arms with L2 /R2. Next, the hands gotto grab anything with L1/R1. How would you do that and what would be a better way to move the arms? I'd also like for the entire puppet to physically interact with the world but everything but the feet and torso seem to clip through everything.

Less important: How would one make an individual limb move with either motion sensor or analog sticks?

I’m hoping to be able to grab things with hands, also...wonder if Mm is going to chime in here?
