Toggle For Selecting Additive/Subtractive Volumes
A hotkey/combination for the imp to only highlight additive or subtractive volumes while in sculpt mode would be really nice to have.
Also for anyone reading this do subtractive shapes take up graphics thermo?
-
Ah, nice idea.
The majority of graphics thermo used by a sculpt is the surface area * the detail level/looseness of the sculpt for those surfaces. There is an edits limit per sculpt, but it's very large. So in general, subtractive shapes and positive shapes don't directly affect the thermo a sculpt uses.

100% agree wanted this since alpha! It can be a right pain to select subtractive sculpts sometimes!
-
graphics thermo is used up by the amount of flecks. The amount of edits would go into gameplay thermo, but it is usually a tiny amount since most sculpts are very small files in bytes.
For the main topic: Yes definitelly having an easier way to select substractive shapes would be awesome, even maybe by making them more opaque if you toggle some visibilty shortcuts.
