Opacity Brush for Paint
My apologies for skipping the introductory and going right into feature begging, but I noticed painting is getting an update (new fleck) so I thought maybe you can look into making an opacity brush.
We can already apply different things to individual flecks like glow, color, fleck type, etc. An opacity brush would be a major feature since it would allow us to "erase" parts that we don't want without deleting entire strokes, and it'll make doing effects like fading a lot easier.
Please and thank you!

Hey good idea!

Ah yes, like an opacity tool in style mode perhaps. That would be good.
For now, you can use style > looseness tool, with volume brush turned on, to reduce the size of flecks in a painting until they're so small you can't see them.

I'm aware of that method, but it takes quite a while to reduce the size to make it unnoticeable which can get annoying after repeating this process multiple times across several paintings. It also can't help with fading to do stuff like distant mountains so at the moment it's still a manual process unfortunately.

I also thought of this once the bake to paint tool was announced. The ability to potentially create fads between objects is really exciting.
