Try going into play mode and returning into create. That worked when one of my stamps was essentially invisible.

Not too sure you can just emit a tag. Can you attach it to a blank invisible square with the tag and just emit that?

Sounds like the follower minimum distance is too low. Set it to 1 or something similar. Alternatively you can make the follower non collidable.
