Remove object from group

I have a 'triangle button' object grouped with an NPC muppet (to indicate you can press triangle to trigger dialogue), i grouped it so that it hovers above it when the muppet moves. I want the 'triangle button' object to dissapear once the dialogue is triggered, however connecting a destroyer to the 'triangle button' object removes it along with the muppet. How do I solve this? Thanks!

  Put the destroyer outside of the chip. The chip is linked to the puppet itself, so all contained gadgets (eg. destroyer) link to it automatically. So if you put it somewhere other than in that chip (it can just hang out in the group) you'll be fine.
