Paint Stroke Limit
I like to make art in just paint mode on Dreams and I’m quite new to the game so that’s what I do to get more used to creating in the game. I started a pretty big painting, which is a portrait of a character specifically.
For the first time I learned that there’s a limit to the amount of strokes there can be on one painting. I started panicking a bit and thinking how I’m not even nearly as done with the face. I tried to save it by painting over it in a new painting while the rest is in black and white, which is uhh, not great. I couldn’t get smaller details done properly as everything else are blurred too. But I can’t see any other options to save my painting.
Does anyone have any tips or techniques you could share with me? I’ve seen multiple paintings out there on Dreams that are heavily detailed and just large so I know it’s possible. Hours has been put into the art and I’m trying my best to save it as much as I could. But I might not be able to make it look how I wanted to from the start.

There's a setting in the options (The name escapes me and I'm not at my PS4) that disables the blurred/black and white effect when in another element.
It's not the ideal solution, but should make it easier to continue in a second painting. -
Hm, I was looking for that option but I can’t find it anywhere. But if I do find it, it’d be more than enough for me to continue the painting!

It’s under preferences and I think it’s called visual feedback. Set that to minimum and you’re good to go :)

Ah! That’s all I need! Thank you! I didn’t think that’s what it does.

There is also a limit to the total amount of Paint that can be rendered in view at any given time.
I’ve done some tests with paintings to explores the limits and thermometer impact, I have a Collection called Tutorial with a bunch of examples and an accompanying video (YouTube @LBPookachoo) for reference :) -
Alright. Thanks for letting me know! It looks like I’ll have to be using more than paint.
