How do I get
I am trying to animate a coin for when it is collected. When I put a record possession in the timeline, it does not give me the normal record timer or allow me to interact with the coin. I can't figure out what I am doing wrong. Any ideas?

Sorry for the title. The description box was disappearing when I typed the full title, so I typed my description with the intention to finish the title after, then forgot. I don't see a way to edit it.

If you are using a record possession, that's the wrong one. You want a keyframe animator. Record possession is when you hit record and possess a character then do an action. It records the character. Keyframe....Did you do the tutorials? They cover this pretty good.

When I was originally doing the animation, the keyframe animator didn't show movement, but instead just teleported the coin. When that didn't work, I tried the record possession and it did work. Am I overlooking something? How do I get the keyframe animator to actually show the motion rather than just immediately changing from the start position to the end position?

Hi there,
As jester946 has suggested, from the sounds of it you want to use the action recorder not record possession.
I also highly recommend doing the two animation tutorials as they will teach you more on the action recorder, record possession and keyframes and timelines. And how they all work along with giving you an idea of the general use for each animation type.
Thanks,

In the tutorials it explains and shows and has you repeat, that on the keyframe animator, there are several options in the tweak menu that you can adjust. I used keyframes for like half my level, for my elevator, for my moving blocks, for just about everything that moves. You adjust if the object snaps to the new position or slowly moves to the new position.

It was the action recorder. I thought I had used the possession recorder. Thanks for the help.
