Force Applier

  • MrKlawUK

Do you have a link to yours? I think I turned off gravity on the host object (ship) and then added a force applier connected to the X button on a controller. Force applier pointing in the direction of he front of your ship. For gravity you can then add a mover adding a small constant movement in the down direction of the world (y axis?)

Try my ‘cave flyer proto’ - should be remixable. Only have the basic ship so far but you,can take it and build on it.

I’d quite like to take a look at a Mm version to though :)

I think a mover is more appropriate in this case. I don't think there should be a need to turn off gravity but I guess if you need to tweak it more. I'm interested how you'll handle the tractor beam and pendulum behaviour.
Good look with the game btw, it was one of my favourites back on the BBC micro. Yes, I'm that old.

MrKlawUK: Your example worked very well. :) As a thank, I gave you a LIKE and follow you, but I couldn't use my main account for the beta. (Not the same email as the newsletter sign up) The nickname I use is Guest73, I think. :)

I don't have shared anything yet. I don't know if I should wait to share anything until Dreams is released so I can use my real PSN account.
davidnorth100: I grew up with C64, so I'm not that young either. :)

I already started with this game in Unity, but now I really want to make it with Dreams and maybe later, a Unity version.

If someone can make me a spaceship for the game, I would be happy. I suck as design. :)

I really hope you get this finished Thrust was an amazing game, you could also look at doing some kind of Junar Lander game.

I was a huge C64 fan back in the day that game had amazing sound (usually Rob Hubbard doing the tracks) and Jeff Minter made some crazy stuff.

Dreams looks like it could be a retro revivals paradise ;)
