I’m trying to send a signal to a key frame that a variable has been picked up, a key for a door, but I think the calculator powers they frame automatically and I can’t figure out how to solve this. I’ve got the calc set to greater than 0.

    There is a simple solution. Forget the calculator. When you pick up the key set a counter to 1 when counter is full this is your signal. If you drop the key just link a wire to the reset on the counter.

    Well I want it to persist in the dream so that I can place keys in different scenes. I tried replacing the calculator with the counter but it doesn’t do anything. I have a variable modifier set to “get” wired into the counters increase port set to 1 and then the counter wired to the key frame. I may not be understanding how to use the variable gadgets correctly.

    I got it to work, the counter does work you were right I just had to clone the variable into the 2nd microchip, big duh moment.

    I was going to say you dont have anything to compare your variable to, so it just equals the calculator.
