Was watching the “Create TLC #4 Preview” stream on media molecule’s twitch channel just now and at around the 49:08 mark, John Beech notes he should stop deleting the text gadget knowing he was going to use it again because now he has to apply all of the settings once again. So I thought about maybe implementing a shortcut feature that would save certain settings for each gadget. An example would be using the sun and sky gadget. When in a new scene, I would typically place the gadget and tweak the settings to increase the fog distance to max along with other settings. Would it be possible to have a shortcut feature that would save those settings and allow me turn on/off all of them with a click of a button on the gadget’s tweak menu? I know it’s lazy lol Thanks for reading.

    No, Dreams needs this! "Set as default" across the entire create mode. So much wasted time re-applying the same setttings over and over!

    For that kind of thing I just have the gadget saved as an element, and import that element when I want one set up the way I like it. Then if I need more, copy that one.

    As for John's situation, he could have used undo, or copied another sticker he had already.

    So, while it would be useful for some things, we can do most of those things already using elements--so I'm not that bothered. And I'm guessing Mm starting development on entirely new features is a lot harder to do than small tweaks to existing features. So it may be unlikely we'll see this kind of feature added because of the smaller utility it adds.

    That's separate to actual settings like the show/hide settings and so on; but that's covered on a different post anyway.
