How do I sculpt onto puppets like the devs?

I know you can scope into puppets and sculpt
those pieces per individual body part, and I know you can create separate pieces then scope in to attach them, but there are at least two dev streams where Kareem just brings out a puppet, position it, and sculpt onto it without having to scope in. One is where he sculpts a werewolf and the other is when he did the viking.

How do I do that? Or is this a dev feature?

    He likely was scoping in, but with less visual feedback. In your Preferences, if you set your Visual Feedback to Minimal, the game will no longer gray out everything but the scoped portion.

    Yeah, scope in (L1+X) on a body part repeatedly until you’re in sculpt mode - you’ll get the sculpting menu at the top and a shape will appear on your imp when you’re in the right place

    KeldBjones - Interesting! I'll try that. Thank you. It just didn't seem like he was scoping in because he did it so fast I guess? Also he was using a different type of puppet which I thought made a difference. Anyway, ty again.

    Hi,

    Kareem was indeed scoping in, but just very fast as he is very practiced with the tools, combined with the minimal UI setting.
