How do I get a variable to update around the scene?

I have a variable named "position" with various variable modifiers within microchips placed all around my scene. The problem is that when it gets modified, the variables that I am using to send outputs within my microchips aren't getting updated... Is there anybody that could help??

  I mean, correct me if I'm wing, but if you give all of the variable gadgets in a scene the same name, shouldn't they have the same value? Or do I have to use one variable gadget for all of my outputs? I really really hope not because they are spread very very very far apart.

  I think you could use the wireless transmitters and receivers. If you wire the variables current value into the transmitter, the receivers will always have the updated value. I think...
