How do I use the Advanced Mover to move an object?
I dont know what I am doing wrong I followed the tutorial in the tool tip but I cannot get an object to move.
I just want an object to move that isnt a puppet like a space ship to move in a side scrolling shooter.
I have a controller sensor with the left stick connected to a splitter which is connected to an advanced mover. I have these in a microchip which is stuck to the object.
I've tried messing around with all kinds of things but nothing works.

It sounds like you have the right idea. Could you tell me the name of the dream and make it public and I will take a look later this evening. :)

Hi, it's Christophe from Mm.
Few things here, are you sure the Advanced Rotator is really attached to the cube?
(to test this move it out the microchip, if you see a red line, it mean yes = good :)
(if not, it mean the microchip is not attached to the sculpt/group.
To do this use, L1 + grab and move your microchip it should snap to the sculpt group.
Second test.
place a new advance rotator on your Microchip, does it do anything?
(if not mean once microchip is not attached well)
If it move it mean your signal input is too low.
try to set the valued of your Advanced rotator to 100% Strength and a high speed value, like 500 as test.
Other possible things :
Are you possessing the controlinator?
Are there more than one controlinator? (you might not be in the one you think?)
microchip is powered off, the Advanced rotator is powered off, etc
Pro tip to test stuff :
i often add a number gadget attached to the inputs, to see if the numbers are how i expect it. -
OK I've published it under the name, Calabi test move
There's a micro chip on the head group that's the thing I've been trying to move. But I have a square that I've been using to test just in case it was something wrong with the head. But the square doesnt move either. I've tested out of the microchip with the chips on their own. -
Hi, your setup is correct. The issue here is the way the wires are plugged into the advance mover. If you hover over the port that your wires are plugged into you will see an Or gate icon. You can hold L1 and press X to cycle through some other options. You want to use Modulate (the big X icon) as this will remap the min and max values coming out of the controller sensor onto the min and max valises set up on the advanced mover speeds. So if you set the max speed to be 10 then when your left stick is fully pressed the mover will be set to speed 10. But half press the stick and it will be set to speed 5.
Hope this makes sense. Your dream looks pretty rad by the way :)

Yes! That works, thanks a lot for your help guys. I knew I was missing something.
Now the y movement is reversed but I think I can work that out.
