Developer Only Logic
Hey There, there's a bunch of different Developer Logic found within Mm's levels, such as Homespace or the imp selector level for instance, but there is no developer logic in Art's Dreams, that was made only with tools you and I have access to (Except maybe a text import tool used for the captions/subtitles, but not confirmed).
Developer Logic cannot be used in levels outside of Created by MmOfficial to our knowledge.
There are currently four known Developer Logics.
- Dev Gadget - which is mainly used for imp quest logic, as well as the imp selector. The tool has 96 various options (mainly start imp quest, finish imp quest, and "Is Imp Quest finished") . The Dev Gadget acts like an "internal API".
- Imp Display Logic - Which when you enter the imp ID and optionally four possible animations/mood, can display an imp.
- Magic Doorway - Which is used when you first play Dreams, when you leave Dream Queen's homespace and enter your own for the first time. This can be tweaked to have different displays, such as Portrait or Landscape.
- Alternative Magic Doorway - This is a programmable version of the Magic Doorway, and is simply tweaked by renaming it the the long file ID of the creation, not the ID from Indreams. It is unknown if this is just an updated version, an outdated version or a completely different object, just know that normal magic doorways do not change location if ID is changed

This was very informal, hopefully this won't get removed, so when users ask us "what do this do?" we can link them here.

Fun Fact, since you mentioned the possibility of a "text import tool". If you have InDreams(dot)me open and logged in via your PSN account, and if you open a text gadget and click on the text field to enter text, InDreams will give you an option to paste text from your PC to your PlayStation. They really don't need to use any extra text importing tools outside of what we all have access to.

gek0h I actually didn't know that. The possibility of the text import tool was suggested by not being able to find any of the text for the captions in Art's Dreams, but the microchips with names related to character's lines were empty, but the longer the character dialogue in the scene was, the taller the microchip's circutboard was. It's possible the indreams support wasn't apart of the game since Art's has had progress since at least 2017. The oldest version I played was the early access where the imp editor still existed.
