The amount of copyright music and finding original pieces
It has become almost impossible to find original music amongst the thousands of copyright tracks uploaded to Dreams everyday. We need a category tag or something to identify the Original work from the illegal stuff. Maybe musicians can start their title with OST - Then the Title so they are easier to spot.
Without any forfeits for uploading illegally, the friendly message asking people not to upload copyright stuff is just not working, and waiting for copyright owners to claim it is also not happening. I am not trying to put a downer on people making their fangames, it is just with the new Dream Surfing being almost entirely curated it is becoming increasingly important for creators not to use copyright music in their games or they will not be seen. It is disappointing to see many great creations not getting an Mmpick or a place on a playlist because they have used copyright music uploaded illegally into the Dreamiverse (and not by them). Game music is not something anyone can just slap together and we need the musicians in Dreams to make the background music, but at the moment they are swamped in a feed full of unusable recordings.
I am trying to make a collection every 3 weeks for 1 weeks worth of great original music, but it is so hard to tell what is original and what is a cover and what is a recording. Most of the time there are no descriptions. I am wading through hundreds of Final Fantasy and Friday Night Funkin and Sonic tracks. I think this has got out of hand, and I think we may lose musicians because of it. Their music is just hidden.

Oh wow, I didn't know this was still such a problem. So are they stitching together 10 seconds of audio to make whole tracks?

@TAPGiles. Do a little experiment. Pick a day, and have a look at all the music elements launched that day, I estimate the amount of copyright material will be overwhelming.

i was interested in actually providing audio for the community but over time, it's just become less and less of a fun thing and there doesn't really seem to be much demand any more or at least it's lessening?
