How would I make a chain link fence?

Does anyone know how I would go about making a chain link fence?

  Find one in real life to study and take pictures of.
  
  Sculpt a single link with the curve tool. Multi-clone and profit.
  
  I remember seeing one on the Dreamiverse, so you could also search and see if you can remix that one.

  I made one. See Urban Landscape. But if you want to make your own use the curve tool to make a wire piece (you could use mirror to get regular shapes). You then weave your fence in a block of 4, group, clone 3 times and make a group etc....Now what will happen is your gameplay thermo will go nuts. When you have fence in position you have to ungroup every wire piece - it is a pain but necessary. Then you can select the whole fence and group. You have a fence piece. Or you could see Lucid Stew's fence which is carved from a solid piece (I think).
