How do I properly animate arms?

It seems that when I try and keyframe limbs, especially the arms, they get really wonky and don't want to do as I say. Is this a bug or am i doing something wrong?

    Hi,

    It's hard to say without being able to see exactly what you've done.
    When moving limbs you can use IK by say grabbing the hand with R2 and moving it.
    Or FK by using L2 to just rotate, and these lead to different results. Maybe try some FK posing with a keyframe and see what happens.
