How do I make sense of the Laser Scope outputs? 'Local' doesn't seem to provide data that is actually local to the object.

The laser scope must be inside your gun "group" local area means local to the group the laser is placed in

    Thanks, it already is though.

Hit Location is always the scene location of the hit. Distance is the distance between the laser scope source and the hit.

"Local Space" means the laser scope will rotate as the gadget itself (or the chip the gadget is in) rotates--as opposed to it always pointing in the same direction no matter what.
