How do I type a number into a gadget, rather than use the slider?

In the stream last Tuesday, Rich mentioned that you could press shift and square over a number field, and it'll bring up a keypad: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tAXkO840jRU&feature=youtu.be&t=1615

I've been testing this out with a bunch of different gadgets (including variables), but I can't get this to work for any of them. I've been pressing L1+square inside the gadget menus, over the number field and in other areas, but nothing is happening.

Please let me know what I'm doing wrong, because I'd much prefer to type a number in, rather than using the slider, most of the time!

  He was wrong. That was probably a feature that was in the game at one point and then taken out. He couldn't even get it to work during the stream.

  You're not wrong, currently it's not in the build. However it's coming very soon and it makes things so much easier when dealing with larger numbers :)
