How to add more limbs to Puppets?

How would i go about adding limbs to a puppet? (extra feet, or arms)
and similarly, how would i go about making a tail on a puppet that sways as they move? (a 3D tail, not flat)

  Any extra thing, from a weapon, to a tail, to more arms should be the same process: pick the piece of the puppet you will anchor to, sculpt each part of the limb that moves separate from each other, use pivot gadgets to set up “bones” (make sure to start the chain at the puppet body part you picked), animate the limb like the rest of the body.
