how do i make 2 shapes side by side look like their connected but they not

if i get 2 squares side by side how do i make it so it looks like 1 shape not 2 when i try this the squares always have that black outline in the middle making it look like 2 shapes.

is there no turn object outline off?

for more info 2 squares [ ][ ] how do i make the 2 separate squares do this [ ] to look like a rectangle

    I don't think it's possible to completely remove that shadow, because of how the flecks aren't aligned. You can reduce it by overlapping the cubes slightly to make it barely noticeable. Or you can use an actual rectangle, and use logic to destroy the rectangle and replace with 2 cubes when you need to.

    Supposer it sorts worked but when switching from a rectangle to 2 squares the texture on both look different even tho they both have the same settings so the change is noticeable.

    Have a look on youtube at MM's tutorial for explosions,i know it doesnt sound like what your after but am sure it is.

    Mm's John shows a rock with all the "black lines" and makes it look whole (no black lines)........then explodes it.
