How do I scale the puppet size in the scene based on a switch or trigger?

I'd like for the player character (the puppet) to scale up and down in size. Like Alice in Wonderland, when she drinks the potion and gets smaller.

  Use a key frame and scale it.
  
  Or use a action recorder.
  
  Depends on wat you want.

  You can also use multiple key frames and put them on a time line.

  And if you want to keep their effects make them permanent.

  I did not have any success with the Action Recorder, but I will try the Keyframe idea.
