Audio clip amplitude exposed?
I notice that audio clips in the timeline flash corresponding to the amplitude of the level of the signal. This is awesome, and I'm curious if that feature is exposed, so that I might use it to drive something like "glow" or "color" intensity on another item. I tried hooking up the straight volume output of the audio clip to something, but it was sending just a straight on/off type signal, with no variances of intensity reflective of volume/amplitude. Anyone have any experience using this?

Yes you can, just hook up the waveform output from the sound it’s the last option on the sound outputs tab and you can use that to power all kinds of things :)

Thank you. It's the ENVELOPE output, and it does exactly what I wanted it to do. Perfect. Would you be able to suggest a way for me to compress or constrain the values it sends, as the volume data is good for the audio, but too strong for the secondary uses. Is there a compressor gadget I could put it between the sound and the glow function on a puppet? Again, thank you :)

Found it myself....signal manipulator. Awesome tool!
