Unanimate entire object

Is there a way to remove all animation on one object, without having to touch any timeline or keyframe?

I’m asking because I have cloned an object and it’s animated via the same keyframes as the original object, and I want to remove its animation.

  There isn’t an automated way to do that, no. But there’s a way of getting around that.
  
  If you copy an object at the same time you copy the animations/keyframes, the old keyframes won’t reference the new copy. So then you can just delete the copies of the animations.
