How do I get connectors to work with heavy objects
Alright, I must be missing the secret sauce here. I have a prototype object I'm using to test out a (sort of) double wishbone suspension system like you'd find on a car. See the attached image.
Mechanically, the joints work flawlessly. Physics is another matter. There are 16 bolts/joints in total, and no matter what tightness and springiness settings I choose, the object collapses under the weight. The starting weight was about 200kg. I took that down to about 30kg, and still no luck. The body is grabable and if I pick it up with the imp, the struts spring back without an issue, so it seems to be a connector strength issue and not an exploding physics issue.
So what's the secret to increasing connector strength to work with heavier objects, without resorting to making gravity feel floaty?

I assume you’ve tried increasing the strength setting of all the joints?

The joints are all bolts, not motor bolts, so no strength setting as far as I can tell. Basically, I'm trying to use the bolts as torsion springs since there is no spring connector.
I'm starting to think they are just not meant to be used in this fashion. Hopefully we'll see a spring connector in the future. In the mean time, I'll look into using movers and logic to build my own spring gadget. -
how do I set the strength of the joints?
