Turning a character and walking forward
I have a NPC. I have possess recorded a forward walk. I have a rotator gadget.
I have a randomiser. Every 2 seconds it either walks forward or rotates. This works fine, BUT when the walk forward is selected the character turns back to the direction I recorded the forward walk. How do I get it to rotate and face a new direction and then walk forward in THAT direction? I have also got the travel and keep changes toggles selected in the possess recorder. Travel works in that the character is moving and not returning to the same spot.

I tried this and it works as expected. Maybe it has to do with where the Rotator is wired to. In my case, I am Scoped Out completely and snapped the Rotator onto the Puppet. If you have grouped the Puppet you'll have to Scope In until you see the Puppet's blue base, then Scope Out once, and snap the rotator at this level.

It wasnt the rotator in the microchip that was the issue - it was the possess recorder. I removed it from the microchip and attached that to the puppet and it now works.

Scratch that. Something in the puppet is making him turn and face the player. I have deleted the follow chip so I dont know what is causing it. If I do not possess another character the code works - if I possess a player character the npc will always turn to face the player. How do I stop this?

Take a look in the Puppet Settings, fifth tab, check that "Follow" and "Turn towards" are disabled.
