Attach a piston to a puppet
How can you attach a piston (or slider? ) to a puppet to make it dash forward with a smash attack ? I want it to work just like the mech smashing through the containers that was shown on a stream once. Kinda got it working in edit but it glitches bad in play mode. Can pistons not work at all without both ends attached and if so how do you group an anchor point for the piston to the puppet and how to make it only play its forward cycle ? Hope I'm making sense with this and thanks for any help.

Id use a force applier and have it activate on button press tied in to your attack animation. Or maybe just keyframe your puppet position at whatever distance you want it to travel and play around with the smoothing effect to get desired speed? Should be able to achieve with both i think.

Ah... Force applier.. Thanks I'll try that. If I remember right they were using a piston by that should do the trick.
