How do I position the motor bolt or any of the connectors?
I seem to be having trouble when using these I dont know if its just me but I can't get them into right position to where I want them. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong.
It says reposition connectors and half the time that doesn't seem to do anything. When it does work its only the end two points that I can move, when its the mid point that I want to move.
I'm trying to get a wheel on a car to spin with them and I cant seem to do it. The wheel has no center guide in it so that makes it difficult to start with but getting the center part of the bolt to where I want seems impossible.
It always seems to go around the point that I want, and also I cant move it in a view that is optimal because I cant move it when its obscured by the wheel and the car.

hi,
first thing I do is turn on x ray and joint visibilty in the filters menu.
then select you bolt and click on the thing you want to be a parent (the car in this case would be the parent) the click on the child (the wheel) you can click anywhere on either but often best for making things neat to click relatively close to each other.
now deselect so you go back to the move tool.
finally grab the middle of the the connector (the purple bit in the middle) this is your pivot point,
and just place that slap bang in the middle of your wheel (if you've built your wheel on grid you can use grid to make this exact if you like.
and done!

The xray and joint visibility help a lot thanks. I'm guessing it doesnt matter where exactly the parent point and child point go. I'm thinking it might be a problem with the wheel its not exactly straight as using the grid doesn't help much. I've managed to get it close enough now thanks a lot.
