Need sculpting grouping help
So I took a sphere stretched Inna way to resemble a head then I went to the side and spent like 2 and a half hours sculpting a ear.
Well I actually surprised myself and I'm very impressed but I have a problem when I go into main screen (L1+O) and then click on the head it's one opject, so I hit (L1+X) to edit the objects to hopefully take my sculpted ear off of the head and I can separate the head from the ear. But when I try to take the ear as 1 it's only lets me pick one of the million peices
How would I fix this I'm scared I'm going to mess it up so I just revert and try in the deafult screen to group my ear but I can't :/
Suggestions? Help me please 😭

What you’re dealing with are separate brush strokes/stamps, those cannot be grouped while you’re scoped in, they are parts of one singular object.
I would suggest that you make two duplicates or your sculpt:
In one, delete everything except the ear.
In the other, delete all the parts of the ear.
Now you should have an ear and head as separate sculpted objects :) -
In sculpt mode, go to tools, then look at the farthest right option to cut. With this tool you can use a primitive to highlight part of the sculpture (your ear). This will make the part you cut out into a separate sculpt.

Ok so Magis0 Mind I did what you said but with another project and it worked
So I scooped into the group went into sculpting for the piece I wanted to removed, used the tools to cutout the thing I wanted removed and Boom! It removed it from the group.
I tried it with the ear and it was bad so I just said forget it
