Character behaviour is odd

  • mmdev7

The reason the character is far away from the imp when stamping is because the imp grab point has been offset. Not sure what has cause the imp grab point to move but we can fix it. Go to the show/hide menu ( eye icon) and all the way to the right is a toggle that shows the imp grab point. Grab the imp grab point and place it on your character. This is the point that the imp will hold the object by when stamping it in a scene.

I have no clues what could cause your character to clone when you grab it other than if your L1 button is faulty or stuck down. If you let me know the name of the character and make sure it is published I can take a look tonight.

Hope this is OK :) Peter

Regarding the copying weirdness... perhaps you're using the clone tool and didn't realise it?

Hi Peter, thanks, I'm a bit confused. I don't have an imp grab point. I do have a grab points tick box though. Do I need to change mode? It opens in assembly. This is all made in the character creation option when choosing 'make something new'.

Character is called Toke. When you play him everything seems fine, it's only when I try to put him into another creation I am having these problems.

I see, so you turn the grab point on and place the character on top of it. Thanks Peter. That has also solved my other problem which was not turning off stamp mode. I usually grab my puppet when it comes in which auto turns of stamp mode, I wasn't doing that, the more you know. But thanks again.
