How do I change my puppets foot step sounds depending on what it's walking on

  • GribbleGrunger

It's in the mannequin's options menu. I can't recall where exactly but you'll find it there.

OK ... I could have sworn it was there. I also realised, that's not what you were asking for anyway. Fine help I've been!

Ok, it's in the sculpture itself. Just change the setting for the floor. You'll find it in the menu under sound on the far right.

Haha sorry my question was poorly worded, thank you!

You can add a custom sound if you open up the microchip on the bottom when scoping into the puppet. In the microchip open the next microchip on the top left. Inside you'll find sound effects, one of them is called footsteps, just replace with any sound you like

Hey there! Just found this out recently and it really helps. When making your environment, you can tweak sculpts to have different sounds. It's more useful to do this starting out, so you can clone sculpts that are already tweaked, instead of going back and tweaking everything later.

L1 + square on a sculpt. Go to the tab that shows sounds. Select stone, grass, whatever. Then when the puppet walks on it, the footsteps will sound like they are walking on that surface type.

If you have a sound you want that is not on this menu, you can scope into your puppet and delete the sound effects in SFX area under "default" footsteps and replace them with a different sound effect. Likewise for other surfaces.
