How do I get a black sky and silver metallic objects in the same scene
If I turn down the brightness on the sky all my silver metallic objects go black. As they are white with metallic and shiny sliders at maximum I cant make them lighter. Lights do not make them silver. So how do I get shiny silver metal and a dark background?

Metal reflects the sky itself. So yeah, you need the sky to be the colour the silver thing should reflect.
So I'd probably recommend a text-skybox or paint or a big ol' sculpt to block out the sky and make it black. I've got a tutorial for that ;P

There’s a solid color skybox made from text gadgets by psn mdkd99, you can make it black and still have reflective surfaces :)
