recording audio from pc headphones to controller not working
since we can't import audio the only way i can do this is by doing pc to splitter then into the controller so it should record anything through the mic from the pc headphones plug.
in the past it worked but now it doesnt work my ps4 isnt recognizing the mic even tho the mic is just a input from a headphones plug.
did Sony stop this from working or did MM stop this?

Still working as far as I know. The source port (on the PC) would need to be a headset port (mic + audio out) like you get on a smartphone. Try testing to see if it works plugging the 4-pole cable into your phone as the source and see if it's recognised.

my phone works with it as in i put earphones in the 4-pole cable to listen to music but when i do this to the mic input then into the controller it doesnt work as if there was no mic plugged in and i dont think its the cable im using since it works.

idk what was wrong with it but its working now it was working on the controller to listen to sound through it but now its just started working as a mic again, maybe its because i resetted some settings?

Ah, one thing someone said to me was that if you plug it into your phone and into the DS4 it registers as a headset. Then leave it plugged in to the DS4 but take the other end out of the phone and plug it into wherever, and it stays registered. Then you can play from the new source okay.
Perhaps that is what happened? -
i think what i did after i tried it out as headphones on my phone and it worked that way i then unplugged that back into my controller and then changed the input from headphones to mic then it recognised it then i put the other end into my pc and it worked.
