Need a Better understanding of logic and others from Media Molecule.
I just not understanding all the mechanics of Dreams, sure mm tutorials help to a small degree. Other people on YouTube like neon the coder, ladylexuk, and JimmyJules153 help me better than mm, not saying mm is bad explaining but these three people has helped me out a lot more than mm. Media Molecule if your listing, It is hard for me to make awesome things as A) most of your tutorials are all online which in not helped me. B) it is overwhelming to understand your awesome game. This is game of the century material but it is just so frustrating to get behind the controls and understanding the mechanics. Maybe then I could make traction until then I'm only play dreams. P.S. media molecule sorry for ranting on you this is a awesome game and I love it! But making it easier for people with disabilities like say ADHD, and others would make it better.

My suggestion is to take it one step at a time. Set small goals. Try making a character first. That's really fun.
Then you can try animating it a bit.
Then you can try giving it an ability, like throwing a fireball or blinking or something.
And so on, and so on until you expand your skillset. It took me months before I made a Dream with an opening, middle gameplay and an ending.
Desmond Tutu once said "There is only one way to eat an elephant: One bite at a time". -
Mm has also mentioned in a couple of their streams that more tutorials will come. Just keep in mind that the game is in early access, so gadget mechanics could still change. That being the case, they would likely not create more nuanced tutorials until they are absolutely sure they wouldn't need to remake them. My guess would be with the official launch of the game.
Until then, always feel free to ask questions here. There are a few helpful regulars like Andy here that are always willing to lend a hand. :) -
There's also the reclusive geniuses like cgCody who help me out when I'm in a jam. :D

(For future reference, this is more feedback than a question of how to do something. There's a different forum for feedback specifically.)
Logic is useful for making more complex games. But most things can be made without diving too for into logic. The tutorials that are currently in-game show you all you need to make lots of simple games. And there is a whole ton of more complex logic and contraptions you can just add to your level and they work, letting you put together more involved game designs.
Until we get more tuts from Mm, you can make many games just using what's already in the tuts and on the dreamiverse. And of course, the community will help you out, and tutorials on youtube are very useful also.
I hope you can put together a nice little platformer for us to play ^^ -
Hey people who commented on this, thank you for all your help. I'll take each one in consideration next time. Also sorry for posting this in the wrong folder. If mm was like some of the YouTubers above that's great! But I know that 'dummy down controls' and 'holding your hand tutorials' would not make a lot of people happy, just to help me understand better. I just need to 'get good'.
