Move object along path
I'm trying to create a ride vehicle that anyone can use. Ideally, another dreamer would just need to create a track for the vehicle to follow. Right now I've got something sort of working. I have one sculpture with a mover on it the slides along another sculpture (this is the thing another dreamer would create). That seems to work just fine.
I've then attached the ride vehicle to this device with a bolt. I've got a gyroscope on the vehicle to keep it upright. I've also attached the same mover to the vehicle. The whole thing works... Ok
Problems arise because the bolt isn't rigid. Rotating around the z axis (the up and down direction) had momentum problems. What am i missing? Is there a better way to go about this? Did someone already make something like this?
Ultimately I'm looking to recreate some rides from my childhood that no longer exist.

Unfortunately, not much can be done about the lack of rigidity in the connectors. There's a built in springiness with a (in my opinion) pretty low threshold. You might have better luck replacing the bolt with a tag and teleporter for a more rock solid connection.

You could group the bike with the sculpt that's moving, and have the logic move that whole group.

I’m not sure if this will help, but psn Zippopot made a vehicle that uses motor bolts. They have a demo scene for test driving, also the core system as a separate remixable element :)
Also, option to have followers track a path has been posted here in Feedback if that’s something you want to vote up :)

cgCody, I think you're idea of using the teleporter is what's needed. I'm a total newb to Dreams, so I didn't even know that was a thing. Thank you.
