How would one make a canera follow a character?

I'm using the delux puppet but don't want to use the built in camera. How would one make a custom camera follow the character?

  I think you can tweak a camera to follow, a tag or player. Or maybe just "look at"
  
  Did you try placing the camera into the character with scoping in?

  Thank you for the reply.
  Yeah I scoped in to the puppet and placed the camera on his microchip. That worked yes but the camera was very stiff. I've also tested with the camera just floating in space and I wanted to put a follow logic component on it. But I can't seem to stick any logic to the camera itself.
