L2/R2 camera issues with collision
Hey friends, so before the maintenance period I posted a thread asking how to get the camera controls bound to L2 and R2 as I'm using the right stick for attacks. https://feedback.indreams.me/forums/917434-dreams-how-do-i/suggestions/36616189-how-to-handle-twin-stick-attacks-plus-bonus-quest
It works perfectly in terms of controls, but unfortunately I discovered that the camera set up seems to override normal camera behaviour and it insists on clipping through solid sculpts when rotating around a player. This means that players can look on the other side of walls just by turning their camera around, so I'm looking for a fix.
So far what I'm thinking is that I need to set up a trigger zone in the areas I don't want them to see. That zone will detect the camera when it enters and then... I'm not sure. I tried forcing a switch to another camera, but that seemed very jarring. I tried a teleporter but couldn't get it to work at all
Not sure if there's some advanced logic that can be set up to keep cameras away from places, or if I'll have to switch back to traditional camera controls. Help plz <3
I'm about to go to sleep so thanks in advance if anyone responds

One possibility would be using a laser, originating at the camera's focal point and directed at the camera. You could then check whether it hit anything, and constraint the camera's distance to that distance.

That sounds like it makes sense. So the focal point would be the player?
I'll give that a shot in the morning and see if it works, thanks! -
So I've been messing around some more and I can only seem to alter the focus distance and the min/max imp distance, but neither change the distance it's rotating from.
