How do i paint on a puppet?
I just wanted to paint a smiley face on my puppet but when i went into paint mode, it wouldn't let me surface snap paint on his face, and every time i tried to scope into him, he took me into sculpt mode, and i couldn't get outta that and into paint mode unless i wanted to scope out

There's a paint mode within sculpt mode. So, if you scope into the puppet with L1+X, then Imp over the body part you want to paint on, this case the head, again hit L1+X to now scope into the head. Yes, it shows the sculpt tools but if you hit the tools button, you'll see a spraypaint can and then you can choose your color and whatnot and paint on the puppet. In guides, I'd also hit that Surface Snap button so that your spray nozzle isn't way off in the distance.

You can also scope into the puppet and enter paint mode, this will create paint strokes as an object inside your puppet and should let you use surface snap on the head. After you are done and exit paint mode, grab your paint and scope into the head and it will lock onto the head and move with it when your puppet moves.

Make the smiley painting, then hold R2 and place it where you want. Still hold R2 and press L1 + X. Now the painting is grouped with the face. Continue to hold R2 + L1+ X until the smiley painting remains attached to the head (sometimes the painting just remains stuck where you placed it before or it just follows the head).
