How do I animate a sculpture?
Hi dreamers. I'm trying to figure out if animating a sculpture is possible? I've be trying to use the curve tool to make a snaking effect, or adding soft blend to an object to create a clay animation effect, but while using key frames, action recorders and combination of both, I can't get it to work, and I'm not sure if it's even possible now. Please help? Thanks.

I'm afraid you cannot animate inside sculpt mode. It's a technical limit of the engine.

Thanks for the response. That is a shame, as I would have loved to capture that soft blending effect. I will find a new way to do it then. ? -
Can you take a sculpt, clone it, soft blend a little, clone that, soft blend some more, clone that, and so on, giving you about 8 - 10 cloned versions of the original, all slightly 'moved along' as far as animated frames go. Then, in construct mode, turn off their physics and place them on top of each other, making all but the first invisible. Then, using a timeline, turn each one on in succession, making the previous invisible obviously. Rather like MM did the Sackboy costume changes.
