Change Subtitle duration?

For some reason my subtitles turn off for no reason, and I want them to last as much as i specify, but i can’t find any sliders for this. I tried using counters and timers but nothing worked, even if i force the subtitles to stay on they still turn off really fast.

  Puting it on a timeline should help you control the length of time it displays.

  Tried that as well, still turns off in the same time for some reason.
  I used a Text Displayer as well and faked the subtitles, does a better job than the Subtitle gadget itself lol.

  Hi there,
  
  If you pop your subtitles on a timeline as Magus suggested if you then hover over your subtitle gadget, scale it for the duration you want and then hover over it again you'll notice there's a small play button appear at the start of the subtitle on the timeline and a small pause button where it ends.
  
  Move these like you would fade handles on a music clip and it amends the duration the subtitle displays for :)
