How do I attach physical objects to a puppet without it going insane?
I tried to add a simple cube to the torso, like it was carrying a box. I used a few ball joint connectors to hold it place but let it move a bit ad the puppet walks.
I started time so it would walk in place. It shot forwards as if it was trying to cope with the weight of it or something. Sometimes it would start to crumple to one side.
Is the puppet trying to be a segway and keep everything balanced or something? Is there any way to achieve simple seconday motion (as mentioned in the “cathedral” stream)? Why is the puppet doing this?

I think the simplest way is to make the object you are carrying non collidable.
Although it will still act a little unpredictably as it will be acting under physics instead of animation. Simply placing the box within the puppets group without any joints.
You can even key frame the hands in a position so that it looks like they are holding the box. That will hopefully give you more reliable results that are easier to work with. :)
Hope this helps :) Peter -
So are you suggesting I just group it, and not have any movement to it at all? Or just animate some motion into it?
In the Goth Novel Game Jam stream, people were talking about how the shoulder pads had "wobble" on them. And you can "set wobble on different pieces to give it secondary motion." I assumed they meant using connectors with a little give in them, so that the item would move with a bit of weight to it. But perhaps there's some other setting I can use to get this kind of effect.
Any idea on how to "set wobble"?
