What do the X and Wave symbol mean when plugging a wire into an input
As I’ve been playing with logic I’ve noticed that sometimes when I plug a wire into an input I’ll get and X and other times I’ll get a wave or a D like shape. I was wondering a couple things. What do these two symbols mean, how do intentionally get each to appear.
I noticed at one point when I plugged a grab sensor’s, Imp hover check into a glow effect and it had the D shape it had a certain kind of glow while playing the game and when I later unhooked it and hooked it back in and it came up with the X it gave a different type of glow in game. So I know it’s something, I just don’t know what

Hover over and it will tell you. It’s to do with how the input value is applied to the existing value. The “D” shape is “overwrite”, so the input value will replace. The “x” I think is blend and there is a third I think too, although can’t remeber what that is.

D = override
~ = Blends all inputs together
X = Modulate (super useful) remaps min/max value being input onto min/max value on the slider it is plugged into.
Switch between these input types within L1 + x. Hover over each input type to see their tool tip. :)
