How do I subtract with a custom shape
I have a piece that's at a strange angle. It connects to a vertical peace on either side. I would like to clone that piece, reverse it, and then use that piece to cut the exact same angle from the vertical supports on either side. How do I do that?

Sounds like Mirror mode might help you. You can find it in the guides menu.
Sadly you can only sculpt with the shapes in the shape menu.

Hmmm....no, mirror wouldn't help.
Let me explain.
I already had two vertical supports.
I put a cross beam at the top that has a jaunty angle.
The supports stick out above the cross beam. I need trim them so the tops are at the same angle as the cross beam.
Like I said, in LBP I'd clone the cross beam, chop that shape out of a cube, and use that cube to trim the supports.
I'm at a loss on how to do it here. The shape tools won't "click" to that angle. -
I was thinking this would be a great feature to have--and for stamping in + mode, also.
